Inside the Great Filter (studies), 2018 | machine embroidery, macro photography

Models of the Great Filter, 2019

The question of the Great Filter in the universe is explored through a series of magnified machine-embroidered structures printed on adhesive film and synthetic fabric simulating a particular barrier in outer space to evolution that makes detectable extraterrestrial life extremely rare. The works are installed in urban space to artistically analyse its filtering effect in the abundant life space of the Earth.
